St. Patricks Day Run, Cosmic Run and Chocolate Run 5k San Diego

So in the past week I've done 3 5ks and they were all really fun. The St. Pattys day run was put together for my friends roommate's sorority so there were lots of people from SDSU there.
The second one was actually last night, the Cosmic Run didn't actually start until like 8 at Qualcomm and traffic was traffic was crazyyy. It's similar to the color race I hear only this one had a rave type thing at the end with a stage which was actually really fun. You could tell which people were there just for the rave. Once you get there there's just a bunch of loud music and neon light and you get chalk thrown at you every half mile

Lastly the Hot Chocolate Run that I finished this morning! 2 words, GNARLY HILLS. I can run on flat grass, trails, tracks etc. But I don't do hills. My co worker wasn't joking when she said it there was a lot of uphill running lol. I lost my uncle and friend somewhere in the process of working my way up the last hill. But it was well worth it bc of our goodie bags :> And the jacket they give us. This one started fairly early, 6:45 for my corral. Since it's in downtown it has to be done earlier I think.
This isn't even half the people that were running.. and the 15k runners started even earlier than us I believe :|
After the run you're given a little bowl of hot chocolate and melted chocolate with little treats like pretzels, rice crispies, crackers, a marshmellow and a banana that you can dip in the chocolate :3 WORTH ALL THOSE STUPID HILLS

Overall these were really fun runs and I'd suggest them to anyone :> 5k is only 3 miles so it's not like you'll be running a half marathon. Plus no one says you have to run the whole time if you're not used to it.

OB Hangs-- my new tattoo

I went to Ocean Beach today with some friends and got a new tattoo that I'm super pleased with and ate at Hodads after. Hodads has a lot of hype around here but honestly it has good vibes and good burgers.

I wanted some sort of Miyazaki tribute tattoo because I love his Ghibli films and I decided on this one :> For those of you that don't know where my tattoo is from it's from My Neighbor Totoro and the mask he's holding is from Spirited Away both are by Miyazaki and I couldn't be more in love with it I cant wait for it to heal :) AND once again we went to Last Days Tattoo.

March Ipsy Bag

So I just got this months Ipsy bag in the mail and though I'd do a first impressions review on the things inside :>
1. Chella Indiago Blue Eyeliner.
This has a suuuuper fine tip and comes out as a straight thin line, if I wore eyeliner I would definitely use this.

 2. bareMinerals lipstick in Marvelous Moxie
I actually really like bareMinerals lipstick and lipliners and I like this nude/pink color it adds a perfect amount of sass to the face :>
 3. Some skin relaxer stickies
4. Bombshells eyeshadow in Bora Bora
This is actually a well pigmented shadow (palette?) Going clockwise from the top left the colors are Strlet, Bora Bora, Risky Business and Rock Bottom. Personally Rock Bottom and Risky Business are my faves so far bc they're just more neutral and RB comes out soo nice.

Sephora Haul

So today I took a stroll through the mall and stopped by Sephora. I ended up getting some things I've been eyeing for quite some time

  • Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard
  • Laura Mercier Shimmer Bloc in Peach Mosiac
  • Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage (creamy concealer) in SC-3 (and a new concealer brush)

I've been waiting around to buy these for a while and finally thought what the hell (how bad things happen lol) BUT so far I'm pleased especially with the concealers. I've heard a lot of good things about the creamy concealer by Nars. I tested it out on one of my veins and it covers it completely :-) It's also a good highlighter for the under eyes.

As for Laura Mercier's concealer it's actually really thick but it's amazing. It's perfect to conceal specific blemishes as opposed to other concealers where you just swoop the entire thing around your eyes. It's a duo concealer with a light and darker shade that's meant to be mixed for the perfect color. (there's more of the lighter shade that can be used to brighten up the under eyes) It's actually a lot like the Bobbi Brown Duo Cream Concealer which has also been on my to-buy list. I just went with this one because I felt like there was more product to work with although I know a lot of people like BB's duo concealer.

Shimmer Bloc in Peach Mosiac is also a slighter cheaper alternative for Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick in Get Your Glow On just a litttle bit different in shade. The powder transfers super silky like on the skin and had a bright warm finish to it, I'm super excited to try it out.

I just wanted to show the coverage of the concealers so I put a very light light on the tail of my cat with the Nars concealer and the foot with the LM duo :>
